Position OverviewClient Accounting Clerk – New York Office (hybrid)
The Client Accounting Clerk performs technical and administrative tasks for the Client Accounting Department and provides information and assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and business services professionals.
Responsibilities- Coordinate data storage and retrieval for client-related documentation.
- Scan documents using the Firm's PDF programs and indexing system.
- Retrieve client charges and disbursement backup using applications such as Aderant and other document archiving systems.
- Assist with conducting audits of Aderant Expert Image databases.
- Assist with updating and maintaining various reports on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Actively seek to enhance knowledge of all Client Accounting procedures and processes.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships.
- Manage Firm resources responsibly.
- Comply with and understand Firm operations, policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software and operating systems.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
- Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
- Organize and prioritize work.
- Work well in a demanding and fast‑paced environment.
- Work independently as well as effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six months general experience.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $52,500 – $57,500. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience and other job‑related factors, consistent with applicable law.
