Job Title
Under the responsibility of the Head of the Media Library, this position participates in the management and availability of the library's documentary and cultural collections to users.
Job DescriptionMISSIONS AND
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Selections, purchases in bookstores, computerization, equipment;
- Management of shelves, choice of BDP;
- Organization and repairs:
Organize comics, documents, magazines; - Maintenance of collections:
Verification of the state of documents, basic repairs, weeding (removal of obsolete or damaged documents).
- Physical and telephone reception:
Orientation of users, response to information requests. - Reading advice;
- Loan and return of documents:
Management of transactions (loans, returns, reservations, registrations).
- Drafting of administrative documents;
- Replacement and necessary decisions in his/her absence;
- Searches on the BDP online catalog,
- BDP reservations;
- Management of BDP shuttles for loans and returns;
- Assign and contact user reservers.
- Participation in the choice of projects;
- Elaboration, implementation, organization, and mediation;
- Participation in animations or actions to promote reading;
- Communication:
Posters, social media posts.
Required Skills:
Multidisciplinary culture, Library Science (Orphee NX software, office skills) Knowledge of literary news, Ability to organize library animations, Ability to establish legal and professional monitoring, Ability to manage a team and communicate, Ability to coordinate an activity and manage priorities.
