Looking for a Bilingual Spanish/English speaking medical receptionist for one of our non-profit organizations. They will provide the overall management of front desk including phones, staff schedules in reception book, distribution of telephone referrals, and following up for missed Doctor Appointments. Provides assistance to clients as they come in and performs lightweight clerical duties to the attending staff. Hours are 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with 1-2 days from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
This position is located in Jackson Heights, Queens and is a long-term temporary opportunity.
- Responsible for front desk including phone, scheduling intakes, and distribution of telephone referrals.
- Enter all staff appointment schedules in reception desk book.
- Manages MD schedule and contacts all no shows, following up for missed Appointments.
- Monitor/maintain waiting room.
- General office duties including but not limited to typing, faxing, copying, and filing.
- Perform clerical duties for staff Psychiatrists such as pulling charts, preparing encounter forms, and making appointment reminder calls to clients.
- Maintain updated client roster.
- Additional duties as needed including but not limited to functions related to implementation of computerized new billing and charting system.
- Available for other support functions at the discretion of Clinical Manager and/or Staff Services Coordinator.
- Will perform other related duties as requested or assigned by agency management.
- Participates in staff and other program meetings.
- Special projects for Clinical Manager as needed.
- Provides office coverage to other CCNS programs as needed.
- Attends off-site meetings as requested.
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking required.
- Minimum of GED or High School Diploma is required.
- 3 years Business experience including office clerical, data entry and basic accounting required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills; knowledgeable in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask, offer feedback and constructive criticism.
