OverviewOccupied Renovation Packing Specialist is responsible for carefully packing, labeling, and documenting resident belongings during tenant-in-place home renovations.
DescriptionThe Occupied Renovation Packing Specialist is responsible for carefully packing, labeling, and documenting resident belongings during tenant-in-place home renovations. You will work closely with site supervisors, residents, and the renovation team to ensure all items are securely packed and relocated within the unit or designated areas, then returned upon project completion.
Key Responsibilities- Pack & Label:
- Carefully pack resident belongings using approved materials and clearly label each box for easy identification.
- Inventory & Documentation:
- Record the number of boxes packed per unit, complete a packing checklist, and obtain resident acknowledgment that all items were packed.
- Photographic Records:
- Take photos of packed areas and any disposed items for documentation and accountability.
- Furniture Handling:
- Move furniture to temporary areas within the unit (or designated storage areas) during work and return items to original positions after closeout.
- Resident Interaction:
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with residents; ensure all packed items are acknowledged by the resident.
- Daily Reporting:
- Submit completed packing checklist and all relevant photos to your site supervisor or designated manager by end of day.
- Safety Compliance:
- Follow PPE protocols and safety guidelines at all times while on-site.
- Previous experience in packing, moving, or renovation support (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working in occupied residential settings
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working in environments with vulnerable populations (seniors, low-income households)
- Familiarity with renovation or construction environments
- Basic proficiency in using a smartphone or tablet for photo uploads and checklists
Hourly pay based on experience. Opportunities for additional hours based on project needs.
