Location: New York
the administrative manager reports directly to the vice president of manhattan public housing operations and exercises considerable latitude for independent judgment and decision-making.
key responsibilities include:
- oversee daily administrative operations of the borough office and ensure effective coordination of administrative support functions.
- serve as the primary liaison to human resources, learning and development, and other central office departments regarding personnel, training, and administrative matters.
- coordinate, track, and monitor all personnel actions, including appointments, promotions, transfers, separations, leaves, and other employee transactions.
- supervise borough clerical staff and ensure consistent delivery of administrative services and support.
- oversee the borough timekeeping unit, ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and timely resolution of timekeeping issues.
- track mandatory staff training requirements, monitors completion status, follows up on outstanding training, and works with managers to ensure employees complete required training within established deadlines.
- coordinate with the learning and development department on training initiatives, staff development programs, and borough-wide learning requirements.
- manage borough fleet administrative operations, including vehicle assignments, tracking, records maintenance, and coordination with relevant departments.
- oversee the administration, reconciliation, and compliance of borough-issued debit cards and related financial transactions.
- coordinate and monitor seasonal employment applications, hiring processes, and related onboarding activities.
- develop, implement, and monitor administrative procedures to improve operational efficiency, accountability, and compliance.
- prepare reports, analyze administrative data, and provide recommendations to borough leadership to support operational decision-making.
- coordinate administrative support for emergency coordination, borough coop plan, special projects, and executive initiatives.
- ensure compliance with nycha policies, procedures, personnel guidelines, and applicable city and federal requirements.
- perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned by the vice president of mpho.

satisfactory, full-time progressively responsible experience as described in "1"
