This position serves as the chief staff member responsible for supervising the shipping and receiving functions for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The incumbent supervises the flow of incoming mail, including all applicant credentials and inquiries about admission to NYU. He/she serves as the liaison between NYU and delivery personnel and mailing vendors; coordinates the receipt of all packages and delivered materials;
coordinates the pick‑up of mail with NYU Mail Services; and coordinates orderly processing of all received packages and materials. The role ensures all applicant credentials are processed accordingly and supervises a full‑time and student staff of nearly 20 personnel assigned to open mail and process applicant credentials associated with roughly 50,000 annual applications. Mailings for Marketing, Communications, & Visitor Relations are coordinated to schools, community‑based organizations, and young student inquiries.
Inventory management of publications, mailing materials (letterhead, envelopes, etc.), equipment, and supplies is also performed.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree - Required Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination. Experience managing processing functions at a high volume capacity.
- Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to communicate with a diverse population verbally and in writing; ability to supervise staff; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software; ability to thrive in a high volume organization with critical deadlines.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $84,700.00. NYU considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, and market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
