Position Summary:

The Office Experience Lead owns the entire coming-into-the-office experience and is the first face and voice of Met Council. This is fundamentally a hospitality and culture role: the Lead sets the tone of the office, makes every visitor and employee feel genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive, and builds internal culture and morale through regular events and traditions. The schedule is Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, so the office has a consistent, dependable presence at the front desk.

The Lead also owns the front desk—including phones, visitors, and supplies—so that the office runs smoothly.

  • Own the first impression: greet every visitor and caller with warmth and confidence, ensuring each person’s impression of Met Council is a positive one.
  • Own the arrival experience end to end: confirm appointments in advance, send guests entry and , and pre-register visitors with building security so no one is left waiting in the lobby.
  • Plan and run staff touchpoints and office traditions that build culture and morale across the office.
  • Support new-hire first days: partner with HR and IT so that badge and building access, workspace setup, and a warm welcome and tour are ready on Day 1.
  • Manage phones and visitor flow: answer and direct calls, welcome and announce visitors. Handle mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Keep the office well‑stocked with supplies and snacks and ensure that common areas are always clean, welcoming, and comfortable.
  • Serve as the front‑desk point of contact with building management: flag and elevate anything that affects the arrival or office experience (elevators, lobby cleanliness, temperature, lighting) and follow up until resolved.
  • Maintain office security by following established procedures and entering visitor information into the building security list; serve as the front‑desk contact and maintain the visitor log during drills and building incidents.
  • Respond to employee service requests: triage, route to HR, IT, or Facilities, and follow up to resolution.
  • Manage the front‑desk email inboxes.
  • Manage conference room scheduling, clerical support, and event setup, partnering with HR on trainings and staff mixers.

Skill and

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Previous experience in reception, office administration, or facilities support (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Comfort managing email inboxes and scheduling systems
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written); bi‑lingual ability a plus
