Billing Coordinator Overview

Billing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities & Duties
  • Prepare, review, and process client invoices following established guidelines.
  • Coordinate with attorneys and staff to ensure accurate time entry and billing narratives.
  • Ensure compliance with client billing requirements, including LEDES and e-billing submissions.
  • Review pre-bills and assist with edits prior to final invoice submission.
  • Monitor billing deadlines and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Maintain accurate billing records and documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist with billing reports and support the accounting team as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
Billing Coordinator

Job Requirements
  • Associate of Science (AS) degree or equivalent educational background required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of billing experience, preferably in professional services or law firms.
  • Familiarity with e-billing platforms and LEDES formats preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and billing software essential for success.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with attorneys and staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience in billing roles for enhanced expertise.
