Compensation: $35/hour for 21 hours a week.
Benefits:
This position is eligible for paid vacation and personal time off, 1 additional day of paid birthday PTO, a $30/month flexible work stipend and an annual professional development stipend [$175 in FY27].

Location:
Hybrid work schedule with the expectation of attending weekly in-person staff meetings at our office space in Brooklyn, plus additional in-person work as required to carry out the duties of this position. This position can expect to be working in person regularly (2 days a week on average) - attending meetings and events across Brooklyn. BAC’s hybrid work schedule is subject to change and employees are expected to be available in person during working hours as required.
Position Overview:
The Executive Initiatives & Board Liaison provides high level administrative and project support to the President & Executive Director and serves as a key coordination point for the leadership team and Board of Directors.
Duties include a range of administrative, logistical and project based tasks: alongside managing schedules and logistics, this role will also help advance strategic initiatives such as the Brooklyn Arts & Culture Kollective & the collective work of the NYC borough Arts Councils, preparing materials; tracking action items and following up with stakeholders to ensure that projects move forward. In any given week you can expect to be co‑ordinating & communicating with a wide range of partners;
preparing agendas and briefing notes, creating decks, compiling information and developing systems and processes to help manage projects and information.
This position requires exceptional organizational & administration skills; attention to detail, sound judgement & discretion and the ability to build positive working relationships. You should have experience and be comfortable juggling multiple priorities in dynamic mission driven, non‑profit environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES Administration & Coordination- Manage the President & Executive Director’s calendar & scheduling, including prioritizing requests to ensure the ED’s time is aligned with organizational priorities
- Manage meeting logistics including booking rooms, making reservations, setting up technology and organizing hospitality where appropriate
- Coordinate travel for the President & Executive Director & leadership team
