The Office of Administrative Tax Appeals is a small NYC Agency that handles Administrative Tax Appeals and provides NYC property owners and taxpayers with an independent forum in which to appeal tax-related determinations of the New York City Department of Finance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Accurately doing data entry in Agency’s computer systems to create and maintain records.
- Scanning and filing documents and doing other basic clerical tasks.
- Providing administrative support for Agency operations include answering Agency phone and greeting visitors.
- Preparing simple correspondence and assisting staff with other routine administrative needs.
Candidates should be organized and reliable.
Candidate should be experienced in PC software, particularly Word and Excel.

Residency RequirementNew York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
