Position(s) I am Applying for Client Engagement Assistant
Global leading law firm Dechert LLP is looking for a Client Engagement Assistant to assist the Senior Manager of Client Events and Engagement in support the planning and delivery of high-impact client engagement initiatives, including client gifting, supporting marketing collateral for events and VIP experiences. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative, resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, professional services environment and can manage multiple projects.
ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS
- Assist with high impact engagement tasks, including reservations and bespoke requests.
- Support planning logistics and post-event activities for the Firm’s client engagement program.
- Arrange for production of event materials, such as signage and promotional merchandise.
- Coordinate collateral logistics, such as client gifting, badge preparation, event branding, and experience enhancements.
- Keep event closet organized and maintain inventory levels.
- Collect and return reusable items; document losses/damages, update inventory, and reorder as needed.
- Assist with creative concepts for experiential marketing and client touchpoints to enhance client experiences.
- Pick/pack orders; verify contents against requests.
- Research, purchase, and distribution of event merchandise.
- Sourcing items for bespoke projects (budget, quantities, deadlines).
- Obtain quotes, compare vendors, negotiate pricing and lead times.
- Create and track purchase orders; manage proofs and sign-offs.
- Monitor production status; ensure quality standards/specs.
- Track spend against budget; prevent rush fees.
- Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies; use the firm’s systems (iManage, CRM, SharePoint) to update data as needed.
- Perform all other duties as necessary and as assigned by your supervisor for efficient functioning of the events team, department, office, and firm.
- Meticulous and organized.
- In office four days a week with flexibility for Fridays as needed.
- Ad hoc overtime as needed.
- Commitment to excellent internal and external client service.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Good grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension.
- Knowledge of the firm’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

At the time of this posting, the salary range for this position in New York is between $55,000 – $65,000 annually. Actual compensation is commensurate with job related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the position.
