The Reception / Workspace Assistant role is at the forefront of delivering a positive office experience as a cultural ambassador, community advocate, and service leader.

The Fan Duel Workspace team strives to deliver a world‑class workplace experience through high‑touch services and world‑class customer support delivered by employees like the Workspace  this role, you would provide experience services and reception support to increase individual well‑being, personal productivity, and organizational effectiveness.

As part of a “front‑of‑house” team, the Workspace Assistant is responsible for creating a supportive and comfortable atmosphere by welcoming visitors and supporting all employee‑facing services.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Provides coordination and support for delivery of Workspace Services
  • On‑Site Event Support
  • Sourcing venue, vendors, caterers, and event support services
  • Participates in local event committee contributing event ideas and in support of global event coordination
  • Assists with meeting set up, furniture reset, and delivering temporary equipment and supplies o Maintains and communicates the local events calendar.
  • Greets employees and coordinates visitor experience
  • Maintains awareness, upkeep, and operation of the workspace
  • Via daily/semi‑hourly walkthroughs.
  • Execute office policies and procedures, and ensure they are being followed.
  • Submits janitorial and maintenance work orders as needed and/or communicate with appropriate partners to address issue.
  • Supports continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
  • Responds to customers of behalf of other team members (e.g. Facilities or Janitorial Team)
    Utilizes and maintains integrity of databases, supports data entry of required reports and other digital tools associated with service delivery, as requested
  • Update calendars, schedule meetings, and book conference rooms
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Perform other clerical front of house duties (such as filing and photocopying)
  • Manages pantry inventory and resupply throughout the day/week, attends to light pantry equipment maintenance, and keeps a safe and clean reception and kitchen

  • A minimum of 1 year of front desk, concierge, customer service or other hospitality experience is preferred
  • Positive and upbeat attitude with a problem‑solving approach to work
  • Should possess stellar time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a changing environment
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Utilize a high level of attention to detail as well as strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules based on office needs.
  • Ability to work requiring significant walking or through other means of mobility. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull and frequently lift up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lift/move up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
