Role Description

The Front Desk Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Queens, NY. This position is responsible for greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and serving as the first point of contact for clients and team members. Daily tasks include managing the front desk area, handling mail and deliveries, scheduling appointments, maintaining office supplies, and supporting basic clerical and administrative activities.

The Front Desk Receptionist will ensure a professional, welcoming environment, provide clear information to callers and visitors, and coordinate with internal staff to facilitate smooth office operations. The role requires consistent punctuality, reliability, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
  • Proficient receptionist duties, including greeting guests, managing a multi-line phone system, and directing inquiries appropriately.
  • Effective phone etiquette and the ability to handle calls courteously, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Solid clerical skills, including basic data entry, filing, scheduling, and use of common office software (e.g., email, calendars, word processing).
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy front desk environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior front desk, receptionist, or administrative experience in a professional setting preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, demonstrate professionalism, and uphold a people-first, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Comfort working on-site in Queens, NY, with reliable attendance and flexibility to support occasional office needs.
