Front Desk/Receptionist, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
A growing and highly regarded private equity firm is seeking a polished, proactive, and enthusiastic Receptionist to join its collaborative administrative team in Midtown Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career administrative professional who enjoys being at the center of a busy office and takes pride in creating a welcoming, organized, and polished environment.
Location: Midtown Manhattan, near Park Avenue and 57th Street
Schedule: Fully onsite, 5 days per week
Hours: 8:45 AM-5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 base salary, plus up to a 10% target discretionary bonus
The RoleWhile this position will serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and guests, it is not a heavy call-desk role. The ideal candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day appearance, functionality, and overall experience of the office.
Responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming employees, visitors, and guests and maintaining a warm, professional reception experience
- Managing visitor check-in, incoming calls, mail, deliveries, and general front-office needs
- Ensuring conference rooms are clean, organized, fully stocked, and presentation-ready
- Overseeing kitchen areas, including stocking supplies, and maintaining an organized and polished environment
- Monitoring and ordering office, kitchen, conference room, and general supplies
- Managing and maintaining copy rooms and other shared office spaces
- Coordinating catering and restaurant orders for meetings and office needs
- Assisting with meeting setup and general office logistics
- Providing occasional administrative and office support as needed

- 0-3 years of experience in reception, administrative support, hospitality, office services, or a related environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A polished and professional demeanor with excellent customer service instincts
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional office environment
- A strong sense of ownership and pride in maintaining a polished workplace
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude, and willingness to support others
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
