Underwriting Assistant ; NYC

Insurance company is seeking an Underwriting Assistant with Program experience to support the team and assist with the day to day billing, servicing, checking policies, processing endorsements, and submissions. This is a hands‑on, very detailed role involving spreadsheets, reviewing quarterly reports, and processing data. Someone who thrives in a fast‑paced P&C environment and takes ownership of their workflows with excellent Excel and math skills.

• Process and assist with the day to day policy servicing of billing processing endorsements, checking policies, certificates, and other policy documentation with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain organized files and ensure compliance with underwriting and documentation requirements.
• Support team with administrative tasks and special projects as needed.

• 3-5 years of insurance experience (carrier, wholesale brokerage or retail agency experience)
• Strong understanding of specialized commercial property lines.
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Strong math skills, excel and detailed oriented.

• Competitive salary: $80,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
• Hybrid work schedule (3 days in the Manhattan office)
