Location: New York

Christopher's Reason is a busy outpatient facility specializing in substance use disorder treatment. We are a fully operating OASAS licensed clinic staffed with a full medical, clinical, and peer support team. We also have a Recovery Living Center on site that operates 24/7. Our mission is to provide compassionate and effective care to individuals seeking recovery. We are looking for a dedicated and organized Front Desk Receptionist to join our team and contribute to the support and recovery of individuals in need.

The position is full-time, and salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Collect and verify patient identification and insurance cards upon arrival.
  • Collect and document required copayments from patients upon arrival, in accordance with facility policies.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as needed.
  • Schedule and manage appointments for clients and staff.
  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Assist with patient intake process.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and photocopying documents.
  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Provide general information about the facility and its services to clients and visitors.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
