CAMBA administers services at the Albany Community Center, Boulevard Community Center, Brevoort Community Center, Cypress Hills Community Center, Howard Community Center, Penn Wortman Community Center, Pink Houses Community Center, Sheepshead Bay Community Center, Stuyvesant Gardens Community Center, and Van Dyke Community Center in Brooklyn. All Cornerstone programs are run in partnership with other community organizations to provide education, recreation, cultural activities, health information and screenings, youth leadership, and social services to the neighborhood’s students, their families, and other residents.

Activities and services are available after school, evenings, and
on weekends.

Brooklyn, NY 11212 What does the Receptionist D o:
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and client confidentiality.
  • Practice Universal Precautions/Standard Protocol & Procedures.
  • Comply with any and all Federal, State, City and CAMBA security and privacy polices intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information.
  • Retrieve messages from general voicemail and forward to appropriate personnel.
  • Take or deliver messages or transfer calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
  • Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information.
  • Welcome onsite visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • Monitor visitor access and issues passes when required.
  • Update appointment calendars.
  • Receive, sort, and route mail, and maintain and route publications.
  • Maintain fax and copy machines, assist users, send faxes, and retrieve and route incoming faxes.
  • Update site bulletin board weekly.
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the receptionist’s area.
  • Maintain package log andprogrampapers
  • Order, receive, and maintain office supplies.
  • Create and print memos, correspondence, reports, program marketing materials, and other document when necessary.
  • Administer and track application forms.
  • Contact and schedule potential participants for assessments.
  • Assist with screening potential participants.
  • Organize and maintain filing system (i.e.

    - files must include waiting list, application forms, etc.).
  • Perform other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
  • May perform computer data entry/verification functions.
  • Tasks may be modified, expanded and/or assigned over time.
Qualifications:

Education, Licenses and/or Certifications

Required:
  • Sufficient education (English-speaking,
    -reading,
    -writing, & math abilities) to comprehend oral and written information and to assist callers and visitors and staff.
Minimum Experiences and

Skills Required:
  • Ability to type 25 words per minute.
