Job Description
Reporting to the Department Chairperson, this position serves as an important point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and other constituents and helps ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.

Essential Functions Departmental Administration and Office Support- Provide general office support, including front desk coverage, answering telephone calls, and responding to inquiries via email.
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic files and departmental faculty and staff directories.
- Procure and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Sort and distribute faculty mail.
- Assist the Department Coordinator with additional administrative and departmental tasks.
- Respond to student inquiries regarding departmental policies and procedures, placement testing, complaints and appeals, and course prerequisites.
- Assist with student registration activities in Banner, including placement test exemptions, prerequisite waivers, registration overrides, faculty absences, and faculty schedules.
- Enter faculty assignments into Banner when necessary.
- Provide backup support for tracking enrollment data through Argos reporting software.
- Process purchases and voucher payments using the College's Finance Enterprise system.
- Initiate blanket purchase orders.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and calendars.

Live. - Provide administrative support to the Department Chairperson and department as needed.

Job RequirementsMinimum Qualifications
- Associate's degree.
- 1-3 years of relevant administrative or office experience.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 2-4 years of relevant administrative or office experience.
- Experience working in an educational, academic, or similar service-oriented environment.
- Experience working with administrative, student information, financial, or scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures, including file and record management and general office practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Active listening and customer service skills.
- Organization, coordination, and time management.
- Critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and other constituents.
- Work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to problems or changing circumstances.
- Learn and apply new information, procedures, and systems.

SalarySalary: $37.09 per hour
The UCE-FIT Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) dictates the compensation, benefits, and conditions of employment. Hiring Salary: $37.09 per hour with step increments per Salary Schedule 90, after 18 months of service and annually thereafter.

T-Th, 11:30am-5:30pm & F, 11am-5pm; in person; work schedule subject to change based on needs of the department.
