We are currently in search of a Program Assistant for a Public Charity Research organization located in New York City (Chelsea). This is a Part-Time, Hybrid, Temporary (~4 months) assignment.

Is This Your Dream Job?The Program Assistant facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned department by performing a variety of clerical and administrative tasks.
Our Ideal Candidate:- Associate’s degree required;
Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred - Experience in an administrative role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
- Ability to work independently
- Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary
- Assists with public events (catering orders, set up, etc.)
- Maintains filing systems as assigned
- Assists Associate Director of Public History with conference-related tasks
- Maintains a system for recording expenses and the use of petty cash
- Collects payment information (W9, receipts, invoices, etc.)
- Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed
- Records and distributes minutes or other records for meetings
- Writes, proofreads, or edits copy related to events and assists in producing related electronic and print communications, especially using the organization's Content Management System and various marketing tools
- Performs other related duties as assigned
