Referment is working with a sophisticated investment organisation to find a Senior Executive Assistant who will act as a trusted partner to one of its most senior leaders. The position combines exacting executive support with broader project ownership in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
You will sit close to senior decision-making, helping the executive operate effectively by anticipating needs, protecting their time and ensuring important commitments move forward. This is more than a calendar-management remit: it calls for someone who can understand context, exercise sound judgement and move comfortably between strategic and administrative work.
The Role- Manage a complex, frequently changing calendar and make thoughtful decisions about competing requests and priorities.
- Triage communications, requests and deliverables, ensuring the executive has the information and preparation needed at the right time.
- Act as a discreet liaison with internal teams, senior stakeholders and external contacts.
- Coordinate travel, meetings and events with close attention to sequencing, logistics and follow-through.
- Take responsibility for ad hoc projects that require initiative, structured problem-solving and coordination across different stakeholders.
- Provide limited personal support where needed to keep professional and personal commitments aligned.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher and at least 12–15 years of strong professional experience.
- Exceptional judgement and the discretion to handle highly confidential information.
- Advanced organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills, with the flexibility to respond calmly when plans change.
- Clear, polished written and verbal communication and meticulous attention to detail.
- A record of anticipating needs, working independently and taking responsibility for high-quality outcomes.
Desirable Experience
Experience in client service or another demanding, customer-focused setting would be useful, but prior financial-services experience is not required.
This could suit an established senior executive assistant, chief-of-staff-style support professional or experienced client-service operator who enjoys combining detailed execution with close partnership at executive level.
