Job Description

Empire Cadillac is seeking an experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive results. If you’re a proven leader who can motivate staff, improve processes, and confidently close customers, we want to meet you.

With strong inventory, aggressive compensation, and full dealership support, you’ll have everything you need to grow volume, maximize profitability, and advance your career.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Deal Structuring & Sales Support – Guide salespeople through deal-making, helping them successfully close customers.
  • Team Leadership & Development – Train, lead, and mentor the sales staff to maximize performance and success.
  • Call Management & Optimization – Oversee sales phone calls, ensuring every salesperson is making the most effective outreach.
  • Customer Relations & Issue Resolution – Address customer concerns with timely, effective solutions via CRM, phone, text, and email.
  • Department Oversight & Service Excellence – Manage the sales department while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  • Product Expertise & Sales Strategy – Continuously refine knowledge of vehicle offerings, optional packages, and emerging automotive technologies to serve as the dealership’s authority on new and used cars.
  • Customer Acquisition & Retention – Develop innovative strategies to attract new customers while strengthening relationships with existing ones.
  • Performance & Goal Achievement – Consistently meet and exceed quotas and sales projections.
  • Documentation & Record Keeping – Maintain accurate and organized documentation to support seamless operations.
  • Training & Professional Development – Attend all required meetings, training sessions, and educational opportunities to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration – Work alongside Finance Managers, Billers, and other team members to cultivate a highly efficient and positive workplace.
Qualifications Needed To Lead
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to lead and train.
  • Consistent monthly results leading in new and used car sales.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable and presentable in business attire representing a professional image.
  • Excellent attendance record and punctuality.
  • Ability to listen and be empathetic while leading.
  • Strong work ethic in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
  • Proven experience in providing outstanding customer service by showcasing expertise, fostering trust, and growing customer satisfaction.
  • At least five successful years of prior sales employment in the automotive industry.
  • Friendliness, enthusiasm, reliability, and a positive team‑player attitude.
  • Open to constructive feedback to improve performance and development.
  • Flexible with work scheduling and availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and DMS.
  • Demonstrated stability in career progression.
