We’re looking for full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state-of-the-art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Deer Park, NY area. With over 2,000 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States.

As a leader in under‑car repairs, our Automotive Mechanics inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. Duties include brakes, struts, and shocks, state‑mandated inspections, oil changes and filter replacements, fluid checks, part replacements, as well as dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles for an extensive range of services.
• Perform under‑car repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state‑mandated vehicle inspections.
• Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements, lifting or moving items that weigh over 50 pounds.

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or comparable education, training, or experience.
• Extensive personal tool kit for performing under‑car repairs.
• Preferred: state inspection license(s).
• Preferred: ASE certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements; ability to lift or move items that weigh over 50 pounds.
