Put your career into high gear with Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices! We’re looking for full‑time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our state‑of‑the‑art automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Mt. Sinai, NY area.

Automotive mechanics at Mavis are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Eligible candidates: at least 18 years of age, legally authorized to work in the United States, 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education, training, and experience, and a personal toolbox of tools for undercar repairs. Preferred qualifications include state inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Automotive mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements common to vehicle maintenance. They must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
