The starting pay for this position is $24.00 with no experience and $25.50 with experience; base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. As a bus tire technician, you will ensure that tires are DOT compliant on city buses that people ride for work, pleasure, and play. This safety‑sensitive role involves working at customers' tire shops alongside customers' mechanics with a focus on reliability and safety.

• Work performed at customer location designated tire shop, alongside customers' mechanics with a focus on ensuring that tires are reliable and safe.
• Collaborate with assigned administrators and customer staff to accurately document work performed.
• Maintain customer tire inventory from cradle to grave, utilizing best inventory management practices.
• Monitor tire maintenance through periodic inspections, utilizing specialized software and electronic digital devices.
• Maintain and repair all customer tires according to industry standards.
• Perform dynamic tire balancing, tire and wheel assembly changes, regrooving, inflation maintenance, using best‑in‑class tire machinery.
• Maintain shop safety and cleanliness through good housing practices.

• High School or GED preferred.
• Previous commercial tire experience.
• Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including light and heavy lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.

• Mechanical aptitude and strong oral and written communication ability.
• Self‑starter, willing to take initiative, work without direct supervision, attend training sessions.
