Automotive Detailer

Competition Auto Group in Syosset, NY is seeking a BMW Automotive Detailer to prepare new and pre-owned vehicles to premium showroom and delivery standards. You will wash, polish, wax, vacuum, and recondition interiors and exteriors, apply protective treatments, and ensure every vehicle reflects BMW quality. Working in a family-owned, customer-first environment, you'll support sales and service teams, follow safety and cleanliness standards, and maintain detailing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, wash, polish, and wax vehicle exteriors to BMW showroom standards
• Vacuum, shampoo, and recondition interiors, including leather and trim
• Apply protective coatings and treatments to paint, glass, and upholstery
• Inspect vehicles before and after detailing to ensure quality and completeness
• Move vehicles safely around the lot, service area, and delivery bays
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the detail bay and equipment
• Follow all chemical handling and shop safety procedures
• Coordinate with sales and service teams to meet delivery timelines
• Report any vehicle damage or issues to management promptly
• Support a customer-first, team-oriented dealership culture
