Full Time Lexus of Manhattan, New York, NY, US – Requisition

Salary Range: $25.00 To $40.00 Hourly

We are looking for an experienced (A/B) Automotive Service Technician.

• Diagnose cause of malfunctions and perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and notify the service advisor.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and proper lubrication of the car’s suspension system and other moving parts.
• Document all work performed.
• Road‑test vehicles when required; test‑drive vehicles, and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Ensure cleanliness of all customer vehicles.
• Keep shop area neat, clean, and account for all dealership‑owned tools.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Comply with factory and state requirements for technical certifications.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training classes as required.

• 3‑5+ years of previous technician experience (dealership preferred).
• Experience with Engine (Repair, Swap, Build), Transmission, Suspension, Diagnostics.
• Preferred:
  Toyota/Lexus technician experience.
• MUST HAVE NEW YORK STATE INSPECTION LICENSE.
• ASE CERTIFIED (preferred).
• CDK & Dealer Daily experience a plus.
