Basil Resale Sheridan is looking for a Quick Lane Technician to join our growing Service team. This is a great opportunity to become part of an established, family-owned dealership group and work alongside a dedicated team of automotive professionals.

, you’ll have the opportunity to build your skills and develop a long-term career path in the automotive industry. With experience and ongoing training, entry-level technicians can advance toward senior-level opportunities, including A, Master, and World Class Technician levels.

• Perform thorough multi-point vehicle inspections
• Communicate additional service and repair needs to Service Advisors
• Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand-operated or compressed-air-powered grease guns
• Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
• Check and adjust tire pressure as needed
• Lubricate moving parts using specified lubricants
• Drain engine oil and refill with the manufacturer-recommended amount and type
• Replace oil and air filters
• Inspect vehicles for additional maintenance or repair needs
• Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
• Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 40-50lbs and stand for extended periods
• NYS Inspectors license preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active shop environment
• Basic understanding of automotive systems
• Ability to perform routine maintenance such as:
  • Oil and filter changes
  • Tire rotations
  • Multi-point inspections
  • Fluid checks and fills
• Experience using shop tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to shop safety
• Ability to follow checklists and dealership procedures
• Good communication with advisors and technicians
• Reliability- consistent attendance and time management
• Customer focused mindset
• Basic automotive coursework from trade school preferred
• Prior lube/automotive experience is a plus but not required
• Dealership or quick-service background is an advantage
