Responsibilities
- Assist service technicians, wholesale accounts, and retail customers in identifying and obtaining the correct parts and accessories in a timely and professional manner.
- Lookup, source, and sell GM and aftermarket parts and accessories using electronic catalogs and dealership systems.
- Process parts orders, special orders, returns, and warranty-related transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Participate in perpetual inventory counts and bin checks to maintain inventory accuracy and proper stock levels.
- Accurately record and track lost sales to help identify inventory opportunities and improve parts availability for customers.
- Follow up on special-order parts and communicate order status updates to customers and service personnel.
- Support the Service Department by providing prompt and accurate parts fulfillment for repair orders.
- Help improve parts availability, inventory efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction through attention to detail and proactive communication.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled inventory storage areas and work spaces.
- Follow dealership policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the Parts Department and overall dealership operations.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership parts experience preferred.
- Experience with GM Parts Workbench and GM EPC preferred.
- GM Parts experience and/or GM Parts Certification preferred.
- Experience with Auto/Mate dealership management software or similar automotive dealership management systems is a plus.
- Experience using electronic parts catalogs and dealership inventory systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technicians, wholesale customers, and retail customers.
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
- ASE Parts Specialist Certification is a plus.
