Location: Delmar
Automotive Mechanic
Bethlehem Central School District is currently seeking applications for two Automotive Mechanics, effective October 5, 2026. The vacancies are available in the Transportation Department located at 82 Van Dyke Road, Delmar. Starting salary is $61,173. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day.
Typical Duties
Servicing of bus fleet and maintaining heavy automotive and diesel equipment;
Air brakes. Body work, up to and including painting, welding, metal fabrication, Electronic Computer Diagnostics, Checks air in tires, adjusts pressure, changes and repairs tires. Repairs or replaces fuel pumps, generators, alternators, and starters. Possess thorough knowledge of standard automotive repair methods and terminology.
