AHRC New York City
AHRC NYC is looking to hire an Account Executive/Job Developer for its Staten Island Employment Business Services (EBS) Advance & Earn Program. The Advance & Earn program is an internship program that prepares NYC youth for a rewarding career. This position is based in Staten Island, but travel throughout the city and to other boroughs or out of state is required.
Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year plus a low‑cost, comprehensive health benefit package.
This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager and works closely with program staff to coordinate job matching and placement of job seekers.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop employment opportunities for people supported as outlined in Addendum #1.
- Promote a positive image and knowledge of AHRC’s Employment & Business Services.
- Initiate employer relationships through cold calling, involvement in business groups, and other activities.
- Build relationships with employers and business people in the targeted industries based on the abilities and interests of job seekers.
- Accompany job seekers on interviews and help them present themselves effectively. Travel with job seekers via public transportation or program van when necessary.
- Coordinate account management in conjunction with the Employment and Community Service Coordinator and other EBS staff.
- Ensure program placement goals are met for each program in the region on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare and deliver marketing presentations as needed.
- Participate in networking events.
- Travel throughout the five boroughs and out of state as required.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s in Arts or Bachelor’s in Science plus at least 2 years of marketing/sales related experience, or an Associate’s Degree with 5 years of experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working with people with disabilities or youth is a plus.
