Overview
A fast-growing, New York–based professional services firm serving leading private equity investors is seeking an experienced Client Success Leader to manage and expand relationships with a sophisticated institutional client base.
This role sits at the intersection of client management, commercial strategy, and service delivery. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of owning senior client relationships, driving retention and expansion, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver high-impact, high-touch advisory solutions.
Key Responsibilities Client Success & Relationship Management- Own overall client satisfaction, retention, expansion, and profitability across a portfolio of private equity clients
- Lead clients from onboarding through full engagement maturity, including renewals and scope expansion
- Develop and execute annual account plans in partnership with senior leadership
- Serve as the senior point of contact for client check-ins, quarterly reviews, and annual reporting
- Partner closely with service delivery teams to anticipate client needs, resolve issues, and elevate the overall client experience
- Lead renewal discussions, pricing adjustments, and success-fee conversations
- Evaluate and improve client management practices, pricing models, and service structures using data and client feedback
- Build scalable, repeatable account planning and renewal processes
- Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to identify growth opportunities and emerging market needs
- Help refine the firm’s value proposition through direct client insight
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus
- 6+ years of experience in client success, client service, account management, or business development roles
- Experience serving sophisticated clients, particularly within financial services, private equity, or investment-related environments
- Strong background in high-end advisory or professional services (e.g., executive search, expert networks, management consulting, legal services, or human capital solutions)
- Demonstrated success expanding recurring-revenue client relationships
- Experience managing the full client lifecycle from onboarding through renewal
- Comfortable operating in a performance-driven, high-accountability environment
- Strong strategic thinker with excellent execution skills
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to build credibility with senior investment professionals
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate autonomously while aligning with firm-wide goals
