RepresentativeRole Overview
A leading corporation or middle-market investment bank may seek a Corporate Development Associate – Deals to support strategic growth initiatives, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnership opportunities. This role combines financial analysis, market research, and transaction coordination, offering exposure to corporate strategy and deal execution. Candidates gain experience in evaluating opportunities, preparing materials for decision-makers, and collaborating across business units.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments
Build and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, accretion/dilution) to assess transaction impact
Conduct industry, competitor, and market research to inform corporate strategy
Prepare investment memoranda, pitch decks, and executive presentations for decision-making
Assist with due diligence, data room organization, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with senior management and deal teams across strategy, finance, and legal functions
Track deal pipeline, monitor post-merger integration metrics, and support reporting to leadership
Desired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced corporate or deal-making environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or consulting is advantageous
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and corporate research tools
