Serve as a member of NHL Club Finance & Venue Business team creating reports and analyzing data relating to NHL Club Venues while managing relationships with Club Food & Beverage, Venue, Guest Experience, Finance, and Business Strategy personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Process large quantities of Club Food & Beverage data to perform trend analysis, uncover patterns, and provide tangible conclusions
- Liaise with Club Food & Beverage personnel on relevant analytical findings and business practices
- Manage collection of data and reporting from Clubs regarding Guest Experience, Parking, arena renovations, NHL Green initiatives, and other venue operations issues
- Support department reporting efforts including ad hoc requests from Clubs
- Contribute to RFP process including research, negotiation, and analysis for vendors relating to NHL Club Venues needs
- Contribute on reporting and analysis relating to Club revenues and expenses
- Supporting Partnership Marketing Department to provide NHL partners with opportunities for business back with NHL Clubs Venues
- Contribute to NHL Club Business Plan Review process with other members of NHL Club Finance & Venue Business Department and other internal departments
- Build reports and dashboards in Tableau
- Assist in the planning and execution of Club visits, conference calls, other league meetings, and any relevant industry conferences
Knowledge Areas/Experience
Required:
1+ years of work experience in consulting, strategy, business intelligence, or finance
- Strong analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel
- Data visualization skills, including use of Tableau
- Experience building presentations in Microsoft Power Point
- Proficiency in Python and SQL experience preferred
- Sports or Entertainment industry experience preferred, but not required
At minimum, a degree from a four-year college or university preferably with a major/concentration in business, statistics, finance, economics, accounting, data analytics, or information systems
