OpportunityThe Sr. Manager, Strategic Partnerships will report to the Director of Ads Business Development and will be responsible for ideating new, innovating partnerships and establishing a strategy and framework for complex partnerships that translates to revenue driving initiatives. A key tenant of this role includes deal negotiation and paperwork. To start, the focus will mainly be on the Data and Measurement domains, but the scope will expand and contribute to other areas of the Ads business.
For the partnerships that this individual owns, they will manage day‑to‑day partner to support business teams within Samsung Ads. They will maintain operational excellence with each partner and monitor opportunities to expand the scope of each partnership to best meet the needs of the business. Critical components of this role include liaising between internal sales/client management teams, product and engineering, and external partners and working closely with legal and privacy teams.
The candidate must be organized, detailed oriented, flexible, transparent, and possess the ability to establish priorities with minimal guidance in a fast‑paced environment. The candidate should understand the AdTech data ecosystem - including familiarity with major vendors in the space. This candidate will be self‑motivated and solutions‑focused with an ability to unravel internal complexity and navigate a large organization. The position will also require excellent project management and cross‑functional communication skills.
Responsibilities- Lead the full lifecycle of complex, high‑impact partnerships – from initial market thesis to sourcing to term sheet negotiation and final execution.
- Define and evolve the strategy for key partners, identifying critical gaps in our stack and offering and sourcing partners to fill them.
- Building and leading RFIs to source new partnerships to support business needs.
- Define the KPIs and performance frameworks that govern our most critical partnerships; lead high‑level QBRs that focus on strategic expansion rather than just operational maintenance.
- Maintain and communicate project milestones effectively and anticipate potential risks or challenges, identifying issues and developing contingency plans.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate the “Build, Buy, or Partner” landscape, providing the commercial logic and data‑driven insights to guide investment decisions.
- BA/BS required
- 7+ years of professional experience in AdTech with 5+ years’ experience in Business Development, Corporate Development, or Strategic Partnerships. Proven record of executing deals.
- High degree of comfort with redlining and negotiating. You must be able to bridge the gap between business goals, technical needs, and legal requirements.
- Experience supporting sophisticated, high‑impact projects with cross‑functional teams in a variety of regions/time zones.
