Description
The Radars, Electronic Warfare & Acoustic Systems (REAS) strategy and business development (S&BD) organization is seeking a business development analyst. This position will primarily support the Acoustic Sensors & Weapons (ASW) sub-market segment and is designed to prepare the individual for a future customer‑facing business development or capture management role by exposing them to all stages of the RMS WIN Plan process and pairing them with BD leaders who will provide mentoring.
The successful candidate will be able to easily and effectively partner with USW S&BD team and other functional stakeholders to learn and execute USW strategy and business development BD business rhythm and new business capture associated activities.
Basic Qualifications- Ability to understand and interpret requirements and develop campaign strategies
- Deal closer – highly effective at bringing tasks and projects to a successful and timely conclusion
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to clearly articulate strategies at multiple levels of business and government
- Demonstrated ability to execute multiple internal or external deliverables simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead customer deliverables, workshops, demonstrations, exercises, and other shaping activities
- Team player – effective at organizing and motivating individuals in pursuit of common objectives and working well with broader C6
ISR S&BD, PM, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, and Sourcing teams - Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to negotiate and work with a variety of stakeholders
- Insight into the competitive landscape of the undersea industry and demonstrated ability to assess approaches and likely strategies
- Ability to rapidly respond to changing environments
- Ability to gain a Secret clearance
- Business case development
- Coordinate input and develop briefing material to support business rhythm activities
- Understanding of acoustic sensors undersea market
- Familiarity with United States Navy submarine mission area and undersea warfare experience with towed arrays, hull arrays, and associated handling systems
- Experience in ocean probes and sensors market; international reseller experience
- Knowledge of unmanned market related to acoustic sensors and weapons
- Avid learner – strong desire to understand the broader business within RMS and the Lockheed Martin Enterprise
- Market research using tools like Janes, govWin, beta.
SAM.gov, and DACIS - Proposal development activities
- OPHub New Business Capture tool proficiency
- New Business Fund (NBF) management and analysis
- Future Year Defense Plan (FYDP)/Presidents Budget Request (P ) and Congressional Appropriations analysis
Position requires a Secret security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens.
Work ArrangementPart‑time Remote Telework:
Selected employees will work part of the schedule remotely and part at a designated Lockheed Martin facility; the specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Schedule for this position: 4 days of 10‑hour shifts, 3 days off per week. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules for flexibility.
Compensation and BenefitsBase salary (excluding major metropolitan areas): $89,300 – $157,550 annually. In major metropolitan areas of California, Massachusetts, and New York: $102,800 – $178,135 annually.
