A leading investment bank, management consulting firm, corporate development team, or private equity–backed portfolio company may seek an M&A Integration Specialist to support the execution of post-merger integration (PMI) initiatives following acquisitions or divestitures.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in the operational, financial, and strategic work that occurs after a deal closes
, with exposure to cross-functional teams, synergy tracking, and value creation initiatives.
Support post-merger integration planning and execution across finance, operations, technology, and organizational functions
Assist in developing integration roadmaps
, timelines, and synergy capture plans
Track and analyze cost synergies, revenue synergies, and integration KPIs
Build and maintain financial models to assess integration impact, savings realization, and value creation
Coordinate cross-functional work streams and support communication between deal teams and operating leadership
Prepare integration updates, dashboards, and executive-level presentations
Support post-close performance reviews and integration issue resolution
Conduct industry and company research to support integration strategy and best practices
Desired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Operations, or a related discipline
Strong interest in M&A, post-merger integration, and corporate strategy
Solid analytical skills with an understanding of financial statements and performance metrics
Ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate development, transaction advisory, or operations is beneficial
