Junior Project Manger

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Junior Project Manager in New York, NY.

Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to support a long-term initiative focused on project coordination, process improvement, and high-quality documentation. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at turning complex processes into clear, actionable materials. This is a hands‑on role working with cross‑functional teams to keep projects moving and ensure consistent, compliant documentation.

• Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communications across multiple work streams
• Create and maintain procedures, SOPs, and internal guidance documents
• Lead meetings, track risks/issues, and provide clear project reporting
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather requirements and document processes
• Support change management for new or updated procedures
• Ensure documentation meets organizational and compliance standards
• Maintain project plans, status updates, and documentation repositories

• 5+ years of project management experience
• Strong experience writing procedures, SOPs, or operational documentation
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Planner, etc.)
• Experience in regulated industries is a plus

• PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification
• Experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives
• Familiarity with document management tools (SharePoint, Teams)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
