We are seeking an Assistant Buyer / Merchant to support the buying and merchandising teams across the full product lifecycle—from concept and development through delivery, launch, in-season management, and seasonal transitions. This position is well-suited for someone highly organized, detail-oriented, and interested in gaining broad exposure to buying, merchandising, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities Product Support & Meetings- Attend product and business meetings to capture decisions, action items, and timelines.
- Distribute notes and ensure alignment on next steps across relevant teams.
- Track follow-ups on open items such as product changes, samples, and pricing updates.
- Maintain accurate records of line changes, including style, color, and pricing updates.
- Help build and maintain seasonal assortment tools, decks, and recap materials.
- Update line plans, style lists, and other working documents with accurate product details.
- Support the development of assortments, key item strategies, and volume recommendations.
- Coordinate sample flow for internal and external needs.
- Assist with weekly reporting and recaps, pulling data and identifying key trends.
- Maintain basic performance trackers and reporting tools to support decision‑making.
- Support pricing and margin tracking throughout the season.
- Assist with entering and updating purchase orders and related information.
- Help track deliveries and flag potential delays or issues to key partners.
- Support alignment of deliveries with launch calendars and inventory needs.
- Help manage markdowns, price changes, and promotional updates as needed.
- Support basic inventory actions, data pulls, and system updates.
- Support setup of eCommerce‑related orders and allocations.
- Provide product details and assets to internal partners to support digital and marketing needs.
- Help ensure product information and assets are organized and delivered on schedule.
- 1–3 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or a closely related function, ideally within a product‑focused environment.
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., data organization, basic analysis tools) and proficiency in creating presentations.
- Experience with buying, planning, or ERP systems is a plus.
- Proven ability to stay organized and manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership.
- Clear, proactive communicator who follows through on commitments.
- Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn the end‑to‑end product lifecycle.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Dependable and committed to delivering high‑quality work.
