OverviewWe are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead new partnership growth across our brand portfolio. In this role, you will identify, cultivate, and close high-impact licensing and retail partnerships that expand Brandvocacy’s footprint. You will work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and leadership teams to structure deals that align with long-term brand strategy and revenue growth. This is a highly visible role within a fast-growing company, ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of relationships, negotiation, and strategic thinking.
Duties- Identify and pursue new licensing, wholesale, and retail partnership opportunities.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective brand, retail, and manufacturing partners.
- Lead outreach, pitch meetings, negotiations, and deal structuring from first contact to execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and international partners.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure brand positioning aligns with partnership strategy.
- Prepare and present compelling pitch decks, partnership proposals, and financial projections.
- Conduct market analysis to identify expansion opportunities across categories and regions.
- Negotiate licensing agreements and commercial terms in collaboration with leadership.
- Track and report on pipeline activity, deal progress, and revenue forecasting.
- Represent Brandvocacy at industry events, trade shows, and market weeks.

- Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Strong commercial acumen with confidence negotiating licensing agreements and retail terms.
- Pipeline Management: Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple prospects in various stages of development.
- Market Insight: Understanding of retail, wholesale, and licensing ecosystems, with an ability to spot white-space opportunities.
- Communication & Presentation: Clear, compelling communicator who can confidently represent Brandvocacy to executive-level stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to align sales strategy with marketing, brand, and product development initiatives.
- Analytical Thinking: Comfortable evaluating financial models, projections, and revenue opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, licensing, or brand partnerships.
- Experience in consumer goods, retail, or licensing strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated track record of closing partnerships or revenue-generating deals.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to travel for trade shows, market weeks, and partner meetings as needed.
- Competitive base salary of $80,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and track record.
- Performance-based commission structure tied to closed partnerships and revenue milestones.
- Potential for equity participation as the platform and portfolio scale.
