Primary PurposeThe Coordinator of Product Development supports the development process, encompassing sample management activities, achieving design aesthetic, quality standards, margin goals and timelines.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Product Development to…- Support product development activities, including the review of prototypes and samples, milestone adherence, and sending of development packages to overseas partners.
- Partner with Materials teams to procure sampling materials for all development milestones.
- Execute, maintain and update necessary data and tools.
- Manage day‑to‑day communication and activities with the Asia PD team.
- Support the approval process and resolution of pending items to ensure a smooth process from development to commercialization.
- Execute day‑to‑day activities based on priorities set by the Manager and drive task completion and issue resolution.
- Demonstrate understanding of the development process, implications when deadlines are missed, and alert the manager of potential issues.
- Organize and maintain sample arrival and archiving.
- Support in research and development.
- Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft 360, ECV or other PLM systems.
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
- 1+ years of relevant experience in product development, including the categories of handbags and SLGs.
- Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multi‑task.
- Flexibility to adapt as the business requires and to perform efficiently and effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving ability.
- Experience working in a global company with overseas partners.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications particularly Excel, TEAMS, Illustrator.
