Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized, strategic, and discreet Chief of Staff to support leadership at a real estate firm based in New York City. This role is designed for a trusted professional with a strong operational mindset and some legal background who can help execute both business and charitable matters at a high level.
The Chief of Staff will serve as a central partner to leadership, helping translate priorities into action, managing complex workflows, and ensuring that initiatives move forward efficiently and responsibly. This position requires exceptional judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities Executive & Strategic Support- Serve as a primary thought partner and execution lead for leadership
- Help prioritize initiatives and ensure follow‑through on key business and charitable projects
- Track action items, deadlines, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
- Support real‑estate‑related matters, including transaction coordination, documentation tracking, and communication with external professionals
- Assist in managing business operations, contracts, and internal processes
- Coordinate with attorneys, consultants, brokers, and other external partners as needed
- Provide support on legal‑adjacent matters, including reviewing documents, tracking compliance items, and organizing legal correspondence
- Assist with entity management, filings, and documentation in coordination with outside counsel
- Support due diligence, recordkeeping, and contract administration
- Assist with planning, execution, and oversight of charitable initiatives and philanthropic efforts
- Coordinate logistics, documentation, and communication related to charitable activities
- Support special projects that require cross‑functional coordination and discretion
- Serve as a liaison between leadership and internal teams or external partners
- Draft correspondence, summaries, and reports as needed
- Ensure clear communication and alignment across stakeholders
- Maintain organized systems for documents, contracts, and records
- Manage sensitive information with the highest level of discretion
- Anticipate needs and proactively solve problems before they arise
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Some legal background or experience in a legal, compliance, or paralegal capacity
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience in real estate, law, or professional services
- Experience supporting senior leadership or serving in a Chief of Staff–type role
- Familiarity with contracts, compliance, or regulatory matters
- Highly trustworthy, discreet, and professional
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented, and detail‑focused
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong judgment and ability to operate independently
- Comfortable handling both strategic and hands‑on responsibilities
