Senior Vice President – Institutional Futures Sales About the Role
An established global financial services organization is seeking a senior sales professional to lead institutional futures business development efforts. The firm provides comprehensive access to global markets through an integrated, multi-asset platform that includes clearing, execution, trading technology, and risk management solutions for institutional and professional clients.
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in expanding the firm’s institutional futures footprint while partnering with experienced professionals across trading, risk, and operations.
Role OverviewSenior Vice President – Institutional Futures Saleswill be responsible for originating and growing institutional futures clearing and execution relationships. This position requires a proven producer with direct FCM sales experience, established institutional relationships, and the ability to consistently generate a minimum of $1MM in annual revenue.
Primary Responsibilities- Source, onboard, and develop new institutional futures clearing relationships.
- Expand existing client relationships by introducing broader platform capabilities and additional asset classes.
- Design and implement a proactive business development plan, including conference participation, targeted outreach, and strategic networking.
- Track pipeline activity, opportunities, and client engagement within CRM systems.
- Oversee client account performance, including margin exposure, P&L trends, revenue contribution, and capital efficiency.
- Coordinate with Risk and Credit teams to review client financial standing and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities across complementary business lines.
- Maintain working knowledge of internal trading, onboarding, and client servicing systems.
- Provide responsive, high-touch service to institutional clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Travel as needed to cultivate and strengthen client relationships.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding, execution quality, and operational support.
- Extensive knowledge of the futures markets and institutional FCM sales environment.
- Demonstrated success in generating and maintaining significant revenue within futures clearing and execution.
- Strong commercial instincts combined with analytical ability to evaluate client strategies and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- High standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to operate effectively across teams.
- Willingness to travel for client development and relationship management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or related discipline.
- Series 3 license required.
The role can be based in multiple locations including:
New York, Chicago, Miami, or Boca Raton.
