Smart Stream is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and experienced Pre-Sales Consultant as an integral part of our global team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with prospects, clients, Sales Executives, Account Managers, Product Management, and other senior stakeholders to support client presentations, workshops, and deliver valuable technical insights across Smart Stream's extensive product portfolio.
Our Pre-Sales Consultants at Smart Stream play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our customers' business requirements and the effective implementation and delivery of Smart Stream solutions. Leveraging their strong business acumen, they facilitate the sales process by rapidly prototyping and deploying solutions, ultimately presenting tailored solutions to our customers.
This position requires exceptional communication skills and a enthusiastic commitment to achieving an 'expert-level' understanding of our products and services. The Pre Sales team at Smart Stream are given every opportunity to extend their professional skills and to become deeply involved and engaged in all elements of the sales process.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide business expertise during the pre-sales process in close collaboration with the sales team
- Lead pre-sales processes, including dry-runs and discovery sessions, to ensure the delivery of exceptional demonstrations and presentations of Smart Stream products
- Run formal Proof of Concepts from their inception through completion, ensuring that the customer achieves well defined Success Criteria, receives business answers swiftly and is given proactive support
- Engage with prospective clients to comprehensively understand their current infrastructure, business needs, associated challenges, and the transformative potential of Smart Stream solutions for their operations
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Professional Services, Product Management and Operations teams to minimize time-to-live and provide a seamless customer experience
- Supporting Smart Stream staff at industry events and customer seminars
- Attain an expert-level understanding of all aspects of Smart Stream's solutions
- Address detailed inquiries in Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) with precision and clarity
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in another language would be advantageous
- Excellent business knowledge and the ability and willingness to learn, as required new business skillsets
- Must be open, flexible and creative regarding time management and scheduling
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task
- Relevant experience in Investment Management, Fin Tech, Investment Accounting, or Investment Operations
- Analytical and consultative approach to client engagements
- Proficient in delivering compelling presentations, whether in-person or online
- Stroung understanding and experience in dealing with asset servicing
- Strong interpersonal skills, encompassing the ability to address audiences ranging from C-Level executives to end-users, effectively articulate the value of Smart Stream solutions, earn trusted advisor status, and influence decisions
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining high-quality relationships with new prospects and customers
- Willingness to travel – up to 50% travelling involved within North America
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a Business Pre-Sales Consultant, preferably in a Financial Institution or Fintech environment
- Proven expertise in successfully managing Proof of Concepts for customers
- A understanding of industry challenges, including but not limited to reporting, accounting, and data management
- Proficiency in financial services, statutory accounting, structured products, fixed income securities, asset servicing and related domains
- Relevant degree or qualification within Business management or Sales is advantageous
