Strategic Sourcing Manager

Role Overview

The Global Procurement team at WMG is in its early stages, and this role is foundational. You will be a key part of building a modern, strategic function that supports WMG’s creative vision and operational goals.

• Implement the foundation of the new procurement department, establishing standard processes and key strategies.
• Lead the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle for projects across indirect categories such as Marketing, IT, and Facilities.
• Proactively manage a portfolio of multi‑million‑dollar contracts, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.
• Conduct detailed spend analysis using advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Enhance procurement processes and workflows to improve efficiency across the organization.
• Lead RFP, RFQ, and participate in supplier negotiations across indirect categories to secure favorable terms and pricing.
• Partner with business leaders across WMG to align on their needs and drive strategic outcomes.

• At least 5 years of indirect procurement experience, including experience running RFPs, negotiating with vendors, and leading stakeholder engagement at a senior level.
• Strong communication skills, able to speak to category and projects to senior leadership.
• Proven track record of managing multi‑million‑dollar contracts.
• Detail‑oriented with a sharp eye for contract review.
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for financial and data analysis.
• Ability to build strong relationships with collaborators and suppliers.
• Strong ability to work independently and take full ownership of area.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply/Operations, or related field.
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with Google Suite and building procurement/category strategy.

Minimum of 4 days per week in the office.

Salary range: $120,000 to $135,000 annually.
