Camber Partners is a $350M+ growth equity firm based in New York. We invest in capital-efficient, founder-led software companies at the expansion stage — typically $3M to $15M in ARR — and help them unlock breakout growth. Our approach is different. We’re hands‑on, operator‑led, and relentlessly data‑driven. Our team works shoulder‑to‑shoulder with portfolio companies on go‑to‑market, pricing, retention, and organizational scaling — all with a focus on responsible growth.
We recently closed Fund II at $210M, doubling the size of our debut fund, and are actively deploying into new opportunities.
As an Investment Analyst at Camber, you’ll be a core member of the team from day one — contributing across sourcing, diligence, and portfolio support. This is a high‑impact, entrepreneurial role designed for someone who’s hungry to learn, build, and go deep on software investing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive founder sourcing: Identify, reach out to, and build relationships with high‑potential software founders across vertical and horizontal SaaS markets.
- Develop investment theses: Conduct deep market research and collaborate with the team to refine perspectives on emerging categories and trends.
- Build and manage pipeline: Leverage data, targeted campaigns, events, and our CRM to maintain a high‑quality founder pipeline and surface top opportunities.
- Support deal execution: Contribute to diligence, customer and market analysis, and preparation of investment committee materials.
- Support portfolio value creation: Work with our internal operators to help scale go‑to‑market, hiring, and operational playbooks across portfolio companies.
- 12+ months in an investing role (VC, growth equity, or PE)
- Curious, self‑directed, and thrives in an unstructured environment
- Strong communicator — whether it’s a crisp founder email or a clear IC memo
- Deep interest in SaaS, startups, and company‑building
- Operates with integrity, urgency, and a team‑first mindset
- Bonus: background in thesis development, founder outreach, or sourcing
- Small, flat team where analysts work directly with partners
- Real exposure across sourcing, deal work, and portfolio support
- Fast‑paced environment with clear growth path to Associate
- No sharp elbows — just smart, curious people doing high‑quality work
- Strong momentum — Fund II ($210M) closed, deals in motion
