The Role
This senior regional leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing Macro’s procurement and supply chain strategy across the Americas. The position drives category strategy, supplier performance, commercial governance, and end‑to‑end supply chain optimisation to support operations and new business growth.
This role partners closely with regional leadership, global supply chain teams and client‑facing operations to ensure reliability, compliance, cost‑effectiveness and alignment with Macro’s global standards.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement- Develop and execute regional category strategies aligned with global procurement frameworks.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, contract negotiations and supplier relationship management across key FM categories.
- Develop and manage preferred supplier programmes to optimise supplier performance and value delivery.
- Support bid activity and new business mobilisation by delivering robust commercial and supply chain solutions.
- Create strategic supply‑chain plans for key accounts, including savings initiatives and contract management.
- Ensure compliance with Macro’s procurement governance, policies and ethical standards.
- Oversee end‑to‑end supply chain performance across the Americas, ensuring continuity, efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Partner with operational teams to optimise service delivery models and provide key account support.
- Implement supplier performance management frameworks, including KPIs, continuous improvement initiatives and supplier performance reporting.
- Drive sustainability, supplier diversity and responsible sourcing initiatives across the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and strategic suppliers. Represent the Americas region in global procurement and supply chain forums.
- Provide senior leadership with commercial insight, market intelligence and supply chain risk analysis.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, market developments and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain a strong industry network to enhance supplier intelligence and market knowledge.
- Promote and embed supply chain management best practices across the wider business.
Skills and Qualifications
- An articulate and self‑motivated Strategic Procurement Lead with significant subject‑matter expertise and experience within the Americas Facility Management (FM) sector.
- Strong commercial acumen, training or experience in contract law and/or contract development is an advantage.
- Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management.
- A collaborative team player able to work autonomously, remotely and flexibly.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent organisational, planning and leadership skills.
- Digitally proficient, with advanced skills in procurement software (e.g., Proactis) and Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Copilot, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience operating across multiple countries or regions.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- Technical understanding of hard and soft FM services and an established supplier network.
- A relevant Master’s degree.
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, APICS, CPSM, CSCP or PMP.
