What You Will Do

  • As a Senior Consultant in Guidehouse’s Commercial Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in delivering client engagements by analyzing problems, developing solutions, and supporting implementation efforts. You will work as part of a client‑facing team, contributing to one or more work streams and collaborating closely with project leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support delivery of client engagements by executing discrete work streams and producing high‑quality, timely analyses and deliverables.
  • Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments (e.g., process mapping, control evaluation) to inform client recommendations.
  • Develop clear, well‑structured reports, presentations, and client‑ready materials.
  • Participate in client meetings, including working sessions and status updates, contributing insights and progress updates.
  • Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks.
  • Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements.
  • Build foundational client relationships through consistent, professional engagement.
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3–5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting.
  • Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas: operational risk and/or large bank compliance; banking regulations and compliance; risk and controls assessments, including process mapping.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing client‑ready deliverables.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (incl. Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage work streams and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams.
  • Ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City plus travel as needed.
What Would Be Nice To Have
  • Prior experience in management consulting.
  • Exposure to Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP).
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MA/MS in a related field).

The annual salary range for this position is $–$. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
