Position: Sales Operations Specialist | The Points Guy
Location: New York

Overview

Manage a hybrid schedule based in New York, NY or South Charlotte, NC (Tuesday‑Thursday) and fully remote on Mondays and Fridays. The Sales Operations Specialist supports the sales team and designs media strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and growth for our clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate closely with sales and integrated marketing teams to deliver smart, solutions‑oriented proposals.
  • Build and develop strategic, customized media plans in response to RFPs and client requests.
  • Work cross‑functionally to support the pre‑sale to post‑sale transition process by ensuring accurate documentation, pricing plan reviews, and communication with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of sales materials, including pitch decks and kick‑off call decks.
  • Analyze audience, competitive, and performance data to inform media planning decisions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of plans, budgets, and revisions; optimize the sales cycle and report data to senior leadership.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3‑5 years of experience in digital media planning/buying (agency or brand‑side).
  • Detail‑ and deadline‑oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload and projects with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong external/client‑facing experience, demonstrating relationship building, clear and professional communication, anticipation of client needs, presentation of strategies and results, and a solutions‑oriented approach.
  • Familiarity with emerging ad tech trends — from retail media networks to AI‑driven targeting and privacy‑first strategies.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Workspace products; familiarity with media math and forecasting. Experience with Boostr is a plus but not required.
  • Analytical mindset paired with exceptional storytelling skills.
Compensation
  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
  • New York City Total Cash Compensation Range: $70,000 - $105,000 per year.
