Research Analyst

The Gartner Research Board (GRB) selects highly talented people to join the organization as Research Analysts (RAs). RAs constitute the core of the GRB’s research teams, distilling findings from a variety of sources and presenting them in a format that is consumable for senior technology executives. As an RA you will engage directly with executives at global Fortune 500 companies and other influential thought leaders.

RAs are expected to rise to the challenge and develop enduring career skills through training, mentorship, and progressive responsibilities.

What You’ll Do
  • Draw thoughtful conclusions from complex, predominantly qualitative data from a cacophony of often-conflicting sources.
  • Identify and collect the data you need through interviews, surveys, proprietary data analysis, secondary desk research, and conversations with key players in the technology ecosystem.
  • Propose and test insightful ideas through primary and secondary research and convey them in polished written, graphical, and verbal products.
  • Assist in developing content and facilitating conversations that support our members’ most important initiatives.
  • Identify and connect with industry leaders, academics, and startup executives to conduct research interviews and expand our ecosystem and thought‑leader network.
  • Master research processes with an eye toward continuous innovation to ensure the GRB continues to provide world‑class service.
  • Utilize approved AI tools to improve efficiencies in our business and deliver even greater value for our clients.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Technology background, higher degrees, or post‑graduate work experience welcomed, but not required).
  • Excellent writing, reading, and critical thinking skills; interviewing and presentation skills are a plus.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage ambiguity and unexpected change.
  • Teachable mindset and a willingness to embrace best practices and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working in small, collaborative teams in an iterative, fast‑paced environment.
  • U.S. work authorization.
