About the Job

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Sourcing Associate to support our Production team. The role focuses on maintaining accurate purchase order data, managing supplier communication, and ensuring timely execution across production and operations workflows.

This position is temporary, with an initial assignment of approximately 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on business need. The role will be based out of Bombas HQ in New York City, working Tuesday–Thursday, with flexibility on Monday and Friday.

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Create and issue purchase orders to factories and suppliers with a high level of accuracy.
  • Update POs with approved costing, ship dates, and production details as communicated by the Production team.
  • Track photo sample purchase orders with suppliers to ensure on-time shipment and communicate updates to internal teams.
  • Coordinate and issue factory inspections through the QIMA system in partnership with Quality.
  • Partner with suppliers to obtain shipment booking information and relay updates to the Operations team.
  • Maintain accurate production and shipment records across internal systems and spreadsheets, following up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate Fed Ex tracking information to internal team members.
  • Support day-to-day production coordination and assist with additional operational projects as needed.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
What we’ll love about you
  • A proactive, dependable team player who takes ownership of their work and follows through on every detail.
  • Highly organized and process-oriented — you don't let things fall through the cracks.
  • A quick learner who can adapt to new systems and shifting priorities without missing a beat.
  • Comfortable working across multiple internal teams and communicating directly with external suppliers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-first approach.
  • Belief in our mission and an understanding of why giving back matters.
What you’ll love about us
  • We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people.
  • We offer competitive compensation, snacks, socks and a fun, relaxed office environment.
  • We take the responsibility to make sure you are excited, happy, and find fulfillment in your work very seriously.
  • We value fun. This is why we host office lunches, offsite team outings and company retreats.
  • We believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need, which is why we volunteer as a team regularly.
What you’ll bring
  • 1+ years of experience in sourcing, production, or product development.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail in data entry and system updates.
  • Ability to learn and navigate new systems quickly; experience with a PLM system is a plus.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
